The “Simple Kyrie” we are currently doing is officially known as MASS XVI. It is the most widely known chant Kyrie known through the Catholic Church in my opinion. However, the ending that has been widely practiced throughout most of the USA is an even more simplified version in which the ending Kyrie is just a copy of the former. In actuality, the ending Kyrie has the original melodic statement but as a repeat by the choir/congregation, a variation in the melody. You heard this from Fr. Silva last Sunday so here is the video of that variation (the actual ending of the Mass XVI Kyrie; see PBC p. 70).
